Leadership and Vision

Our Board is comprised of passionate, hardworking professionals that want to make a difference in Oakland County. They come from different backgrounds but are united in the same shared purpose of providing valuable employment opportunities for those who need them the most.

David Coleman

President

Dave Coleman joined The Jay Shop Board in 2011, and became President of the board in 2022. He is also the President of QTMC, Inc., an authorized “Food Pantry Agency” for Gleaners Food Bank, Forgotten Harvest, Whole Foods Market, and others.  He distributes food four times weekly to needy families of the community from Wisner Stadium, Trinity Baptist Church, Woodside Bible Church, and Walton Manor Trailer Park. He has also been the director of the CENTERSTAGE Homeless Shelter in Pontiac for 25 years.

Kurt Rietsch

Treasuer

Kurt Rietsch has been a tax accountant for 20 years and is the founding partner of the firm Rietsch, Souriall & Associates. The Waterford office presented Kurt an opportunity to work with and become the Treasurer of The Jay Shop where he volunteers his time to give back to the community. Kurt is also a member of St. John Vianney Church where he volunteers throughout the year on various committees. Aside from crunching numbers, Kurt enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, their three children and his farm animals.

Lay O. Knoerr,
PhD

Board Member

Lay is a retired engineering professional, having served in the automotive & steel industries for decades in General Motors & thyssenkrupp Steel North America. She has in the past worked with two other charitable organizations, Hope Against Trafficking and the Micah 6 Community. She is committed to making impactful change in marginalized & underserved communities. Lay enjoys globetrotting to discover foods through diverse cultural experiences.

Christopher Northcross

Board Member

Christopher Northcross is a Pontiac Native and a graduate of Pontiac Central High School and Oakland University. He currently volunteers as Treasurer and Board member of the Pontiac School District Promise Zone Authority, member of the Pontiac Planning Commission, and as Treasurer of the Pontiac Optimist Club.

 

John Linemeyer

Secretary

John is the owner of Complete Insurance Services, Inc. BA Michigan State University Risk and Insurance 1978. He worked for seven years at The Hartford Insurance Group, and the Insurance Company of North America as a Senior Commercial Underwriter. He enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.
